Instructors and other key staff have undertaken CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checks and we have a Child & Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy in place.

Outdoor activities undertaken at Shining Cliff follow the guidelines laid out in the 'Lindley Educational Trust : Code of Practice for Outdoor Activities'.

Our minibuses are in good working order, they have monthly 'safety checks' at an approved garage and have seat belts. We have strict guidelines for the conduct of drivers.

All equipment is in good working order; equipment is regularly replaced and is checked before and after use.

'Challenge by Choice' we apply this principle to all our courses. Individuals will be actively encourage to participate and work out of their 'Comfort Zone'. But we are very careful that no one feels forced!
