The Trust is committed to implementing environmentally friendly working practices whenever practicable. We encourage groups to arrive by public transport or shared transport. We offer a good selection of on-site activities, which help us limit the impact on the natural resources. This policy also helps us to play a part in reducing traffic in the Peak District National Park. We buy locally where ever possible both in order to support the local economy and reduce our environmental impact.
We encourage the use of electronic technology and hence reduce use of paper. We recycle paper, cardboard, drinks cans & glass and encourage our guests to do the same.
Tree Planting – The Hollowford site has an active tree-planting scheme; a number of trees are planted every year. |
