Lindley Educational Trust is a charity specialising in helping young people through some of life’s transitions, primary to secondary school, school into employment or higher education & moving into a leadership role at work and has been in existence for over 40 years.
Hollowford provides spacious, high quality facilities for groups of between 10 and 130 people. There are four accommodation blocks providing comfortable bedrooms that vary in size from 1 to 6 persons, with three of the blocks having en-suite facilities.
For a smaller, self catering option please visit the website of our Shining Cliff Centre
Hollowford provides the perfect place for a wide variety of events. For example; an introductory session lasting a few hours, a residential experience or an extended programme run over several months. The Centre is also available as a venue for meetings, conferences and other events either with or without outdoor activities
We offer a wide range of challenging & inspiring activities to suit all abilities, including rock climbing, caving, canoeing and high ropes. On site we have high and low ropes courses, zip wire, adventure course and challenge activities, whilst our established wildlife and conservation area provides one of the most diverse habitats in the Hope Valley. There is also a roundhouse, archery, climbing wall, raft building and canoeing, and still plenty of space left to enjoy the freedom to run around.
Stepping outside the Centre it is just a short drive to the moors, dales, climbing crags, caves and rivers which provide the venues for our off site adventurous activities.
We are also experienced at running events further a field such as winter mountaineering in Scotland, canoeing in Sweden, climbing in North Wales and the Lake District.
Even the shortest Hollowford experience is relevant to Every Child Matters. The Government's aim for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances, is to have the support they need to;
